• Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary: 

• Provides technical expertise in aircraft system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize schedule impact.

• Ensures safety and quality standards are met while implementing process improvements.

• May fill in for the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician as needed.

• Perform avionics testing, troubleshooting, installation, and testing of components per engineering specs and maintenance manuals.

• Ensure quality and efficiency by repairing systems and components, including splicing, soldering, and pinning wiring.

• Operate test equipment for performance evaluations and ensure proper documentation for inspections.

• Comply with engineering changes, company programs (FOD, tool control, 5-S), and safety regulations.

• Adapt to schedule changes as needed.

• May assist with aircraft certification and flight tests.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 4 years in avionics/electrical or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years related experience.

• A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license, FCC, and NCATT preferred.

• Preferred proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to climb stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
