TITLE:  AVID Tutor

LOCATION: Urbana High School

SUPERVISOR:Building Principal(s) and Assistant Principal(s)

JOB SUMMARY:  AVID tutors will help support AVID students in the tutorial process.  AVID Tutors will provide guidance and support in answering questions from different subject areas and give feedback to students on their work.  AVID Tutors will help guide and lead discussions on tutorial topics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Illinois Educator License
• Internal UHS employee

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Must be available on Tuesday or Thursday from 12:38 - 1:28 (lunch or prep period only)
• AVID Tutor Start and End Dates:  Week of January 6, 2025 - May 23, 2025
• Must take the required one-hour training on being an AVID Tutor.
• AVID Tutoring Training Dates: Must attend one.  December 19, 2024, from 3:30 - 4:30 - Location TBD
• AVID Tutor Pay Rate:  $32/hour
