PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance and Repair to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Trumbull, CT. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
Consistently and accurately disassemble, clean, evaluate, and perform repairs, modifications, and assembly on Aircraft components using approved data-assigned duties.
- Work independently with limited supervision.
- Use precision measuring instruments and gauges such as feeler gauges, dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
- Perform repair of detailed components by filing, stoning, lapping, and polishing.
- Will use power and hand tools for drilling, sanding and riveting.
- Must write the results of evaluations and be able to communicate repair requirements for work performed within our facility or sent to outside sources.
- Adhere to all EH&S requirements, FAA & EASA regulations, company rules, policies, procedures, and corporate initiatives.
- Follow procedures in component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, ORI’s, OREI’s, drawings, check sheets, etc. Must be competent in torque wrenches and have a complete understanding of SAC torque specification SS9300.
- Chemically treat repaired surfaces in under-approved data.
- Drill, ream, tap, change studs, install helicoils, and install bushings and liners by shrink fitting and arbor press.
- Review and interpret related paperwork to ensure proper parts identification and operational sequence and record information on appropriate documentation.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Automotive trade school preferred
- FAA Airframe license but not required.
