About the Job
The Aviation HR Specialist will manage and execute HR functions related to employee onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and HR administration for aviation personnel. This role supports workforce management in a fast-paced aviation environment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle employee onboarding, including background checks, documentation, and orientation.
- Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, TSA requirements, and company policies.
- Administer HR documentation such as employment contracts, NDAs, and policy acknowledgments.
- Assist in benefits enrollment, leave management, and employee inquiries.
- Coordinate training and development programs for aviation staff.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping in HRIS systems and personnel files.
- Support performance management processes, including evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Handle employee relations issues professionally and confidentially.
- Partner with management to improve workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Stay updated on labor laws and industry regulations affecting aviation employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably in the aviation, aerospace, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of FAA, TSA, and OSHA compliance is a plus.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
