Overview
Our Charlotte, NC office is looking for a Civil PE with 4+ years of experience to join our Aviation project team.
Responsibilities
As an Aviation Civil Engineer, you will support the planning, design and construction of airport projects; prepare analyses and reports for on-going projects; prepare plans and specifications; mentor and coordinate the work of analysts and other technical staff and manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.
Qualifications
+ Minimum of 4 years of aviation civil design experience
+ PE License
+ Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating
+ Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circular’s and Engineering Briefs
+ Familiarity with pavement design and FAARField Design Software
+ Experience with construction phase services and construction phasing and sequencing
+ Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation experience
+ Familiarity with modeling of aircraft and vehicle turning movement simulations in AeroTURN, AutoTURN, Path Planner, and/or AviPLAN
+ Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
+ Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
