Job Title: AV Technician (Secret Cleared)
Location: Ft. Meade, MD (travel costs covered)
Duration: 6-7 months contract
Pay Rate: $25-35/hr. (Based on Experience) + $80/day in per diem Summary:
The AV Technician is responsible for the installation, setup, testing, and maintenance of audio-visual systems. Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot AV systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, control systems, video conferencing equipment, and cabling.
• Perform wiring, mounting, and equipment placement per design specifications and schematics.
• Conduct testing and calibration of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including wiring diagrams, equipment inventory, and project updates.
• Work closely with project managers, designers, and other technicians to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies during all installations. Qualifications:
• Proficiency with AV equipment and tools (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, AMX).
• Knowledge of signal flow, networked AV systems, and cabling standards (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optics).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Active DoD Secret clearance
