CoSolutions is looking for a skilled VTC Technician for an upcoming contract in Washington, D.C.
Overview
Provide expert level service in setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment in addition to supporting the Museum’s events. Conduct routine and on-demand tasks in support of meetings, training sessions, audio and video conferencing, portable sound systems and audio recording. In coordination with event managers, support AV Operations for Museum theaters, by setting up camera views for Live-Stream and recording, setting up audience microphones, assisting with PowerPoint presentations and exhibit installations, working with contracted AV crew members and distributing recordings to event stakeholders. Provide system configuration and maintenance of Museum networked system.
AV Technician’s Qualifications:
● 3-5 years of experience with audio visualsystems integration or service.
●Candidates should be driven, methodical, focused, havestrong troubleshooting skillsand possess the ability toself-manage and work independently without close supervision.
● CTS certification or equivalent work experience.
● Ability to act as technical lead for special events.
● Experience operating video switcher (SDI, NDI).
● Experience mixing live sound with digital mixing consoles.
● Experience supporting hybrid video conference meetings.
● Ability to read and follow AV system flow diagrams and support documentation.
● Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
● Multi-tasking & ability to meet project deadlines.
● Live event experience is a plus.
● Experience configuring/troubleshooting audio DSP’s (Biamp/ QSC/Clearone) a plus..
● Dante and AVOIP experience a plus
Routine Tasks
● Turn on the temporary and permanent exhibits and perform daily inspection walkthrough of all audio visual technology to ensure proper operation
● Make exhibits available for early or late visits (before/after normal hours of operation)
● Assist in the installation of projectors, monitors, and other AV equipment
● Replace projector bulbs when applicable
● Perform routine system maintenance as needed
● Maintain equipment inventory
● Other duties as assigned
