MUST:
Experienced A/V Lead Field Technician
At least 4 years experience working in the AV/VTC industry in an applicable role..
Ability to work, think, determine, then establish priority of urgency quickly and accurately with little oversite to meet deadlines in an organized manner.
Working knowledge of a wide range of audio, video, networking equipment and software including, but not limited to Biamp, Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, and Cisco.
Knowledge of national building/ safety codes, and industry best practices.
Advanced fabrication and installation skills.
Ability to read and work from AV and general construction drawings.
Reliability in showing up on location, meeting travel schedules and flexibly adjusting schedules based on changing priorities.
Competence in system configuration, software installation and hardware installation of common AV equipment in a production type environment.
Ability to safely use both power and hand tools.
Understanding of low voltage electrical installation practices and concepts.
Ability to travel 80% of the time during busy periods.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Ability to bend, squat, and kneel.
Ability to work on ladders for long periods.
Ability to pass background checks and work in secure government facilities.
Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.

DUTIES:
Under the general direction, and supervision of the Director of Operations and Integration of the Unified Communications Solutions team or an assignee, the Lead Field Technician assist in all aspects of onsite installation, commissioning, customer training. Uses technical expertise to complete equipment installation services at customer sites. Investigates reports of problems with hardware and peripherals. Represents to the customer with confidence and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service. Ensures compliance with quality of work and procedures. Handles confidential information. Travels up to 60% of the time.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads and delegates tasks to install crews and subcontractors.
Works with internal and external project stake holders to verify all work complies with client quality control standards at project completion.
Transport, inventory, unbox, and installs a wide variety or AV related equipment to standards.
Capable of safely securing displays, projectors, screens, speakers, and other large equipment to standards.
Terminates a wide variety of wire and connectors to standards.
Ensures all connected systems operate at peak performance; troubleshoots and adjust the AV system as required.
Interacts with both technical (IT/ AV) and non-technical project stake holders.
Provide a high level of both technical and aesthetically pleasing final product within established task durations.
Documenting and communicating installation status
Completes customer inventory paperwork and obtains customer sign off for completed installations.
Is the sole onsite point of accountability and customer contact.
Maintain tools and personal material stock.
