About the Job
Responsibilities:
Supplier Interface: Negotiate competitive pricing and strategic advantages with distributors and manufacturers.
Estimations: Develop accurate labor and material estimates (BOL/BOM) for each opportunity.
Site Visits: Attend site visits to gather relevant information.
Proposal Strategy: Collaborate with management and sales teams to develop winning strategies for proposals and quotations.
Take-offs and Spreadsheets: Generate precise take-offs and estimates using spreadsheets.
Design and Estimate: Design and estimate installations of various sizes.
Scope of Work: Develop clear and detailed scopes of work to meet customer needs.
Time Management: Plan and manage your time and schedule efficiently.
Strategy Meetings: Participate in Game Plan/Strategy Meetings for assigned projects.
Stock Checks: Check Vision Stock and negotiate fair market prices for materials.
Value Engineering: Provide value engineering options for each estimate.
Price Comparison: Create price comparison spreadsheets and select the best price for estimates.
Peer Checks and Reviews: Conduct peer checks, P&L reviews, and support capture meetings.
Estimate Reviews: Conduct labor and material estimate reviews with the Business Unit Manager.
Handoff Meetings: Participate in post-award handoff meetings, coordinating with Sales, PMO, Procurement, Partners, and other necessary resources.
Channel & Manufacturers:
Obtain vendor certifications and develop relationships with vendor reps.
Register opportunities for commitment and price guarantees.
Attend and support trade events and exchange lead information.

Qualifications:
Located in the DMV region for a hybrid position.
3-5 years of experience in estimating related to job responsibilities.
Knowledge of AV, UC, and networking design and installation.
Extensive knowledge of Crestron, AMX, and Extron is a plus.
5 years of experience in estimating technical projects with a track record of successful, profitable project completion.
Independent, self-driven, and highly customer-focused.
Experience with Microsoft Office productivity tools.
