position. Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent
experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job
classification. The position is eligible for overtime compensation for

vehicles. We provide services to our community by maintaining vehicles
that journey over 24 million miles a year, covering 9,224 square miles

Job Contributions
- Perform general repairs on a variety of light-duty vehicles and
equipment in an industrial shop environment
- Inspect and diagnose vehicles
- Conduct road tests on vehicles
- Maintain service records and prepare reports to input information
into the fleet tracking system
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and services
- Ensure shop safety and cleanliness and abide by safety policies;
Identify safety hazards and report unsafe conditions to the
supervisor
- Consult with supervisor on vehicular problems and performance
- Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment
Working Conditions
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona drivers
license by the time of hire
- High physical work volumes, standing for prolonged periods and
working in a confined environment. Work is performed in an
industrial shop setting. Must be able to work in all-weather types
(extreme heat, cold, wind, rain). Must wear Job Protective Equipment
(i.e., uniforms, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes). Must be able
to hear, see, climb, crouch, bend, and lift/carry 50 pounds with or
without the assistance of a cart or device
