Fuel Oil Service Technician

Hocon is Connecticut's oldest family-owned propane delivery company and we're growing! We are excited to announce the opening of a Full-TimeOil Heating Service Technician position in our Norwalk, CT location. We're offering an hourly rate of $30 - $35 (BOE) and the Benefits shown below. We offer training and provide our team members with great career opportunities.

You are REQUIRED to have a current CT B-2 Heating Oil Service License

Fuel Oil Service Technician Responsibilities: (Included, but not limited to)

· Can-Do Attitude

· Dependable & a Problem Solver

· Communicates well with customers

· Install tanks and lines to make sure the system passes all state & local installation/permit requirements

· Repair and maintain appliances; and provide service to our residential, commercial and industrial customers

· Provide annual cleanings and service to customer equipment

· Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations

· Strong mechanical service background, preferably in the Oil Heat, Plumbing, Oil Appliance Repair or HVAC fields

· CT Burner License B-2 or better REQUIRED

· High School Graduate or Equivalent, Trade School Preferred

· Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) containing a Hazmat, Tank and Air Brake Endorsements and DOT Medical preferred or must be able to obtain within 90 days of employment.

· Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, Drug Test and Background Check.
