Automotive Technician - Berman Star Nissan

Berman STAR Nissan is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a Level 2 Technician or higher, skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Nissan vehicles.

Job Title: Automotive Technician
Location: Niles, IL
Pay: Starting at $22 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical problems and plan repair work
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any necessary repairs
• Test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality and effectiveness
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining vehicle issues and necessary repairs to customers

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic
• Dealership experience, required
• Nissan experience, preferred 
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
