Automotive Technician - Level B - Marty's Chevrolet, Bourne, MA

Marty's Chevrolet is under new management and we are fast becoming the dealership for Chevrolet on the Cape! As we are growing at such a fast pace, we are seeking experienced technicians to help us not only be the best in sales, but in service too!

We are seeking a GM trained and certified Automotive Technician - Level B who is aspiring to move to A tech status/level. The right candidate must be able to perform diagnoses and repairs of most vehicle components with little supervision, and who has worked as a C-Class general service technician.

We will make the transition as easy possible:

• We guarantee your current hours for the first 60 days
• We provide assistance with toolbox relocation expenses

Essential Duties, (not limited to):

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and perform necessary repair.
• Examines assigned vehicles to determine if any safety and/or service work is required or recommended.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on repair order.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Keeps the shop area neat and clean.
• Maintains and accounts for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as received.
• Understands and keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA.

Compensation depends on skill level, training, and tools.
