Responsibilities of the Automotive Repair Technician:
Responsibilities of the Automotive Repair Technician:
- Use a range of OEM tools and diagnostic equipment to make effective repair recommendations for various makes and models.
- Independently perform basic to advanced physical repairs on damaged vehicles.
- Drive or move customer vehicles to shop locations.
- Conduct remote pre-, post-, and diagnostic scans for all makes and models, identifying faults, error messages, module corrections, etc.
- Communicate technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanically inclined individuals.
- Two to three years of experience in a car dealership or aftermarket repair facility as an Automotive Technician.
- Must have company-designated certifications or obtain them within six months: ASE, I-Car, MECP
- Experience and knowledge of OEM scan tools and/or aftermarket scan tools.
- Proficient in identifying faults, error messages, and modules.
- Strong automotive mechanical and electrical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Direct Hire
- Hours: Mon-Fri, 8 hour shifts, OT potential depending on store needs
- Pay: $17-32/hour (DOE)
