What youll do:
- Administrator of the maintenance parts and inventory management system (MP2) to include directing and performing cycle counts, requisitioning, receiving, shipping, stocking and developing requested reports.
- Provide assistance to the Purchasing, Engineering and Maintenance groups on the procurement of facility and manufacturing equipment parts.
- Involvement in the planning process for prescheduled maintenance events to ensure that the appropriate parts are available prior to the start of the event.
- Understand and track all related parts that are used in the facility for manufacturing equipment
- Research best cost alternatives on OEM and other specialized parts, or as requested and then review results with requisitioner and then promptly send parts out for repair.
- Assist maintenance personnel as directed by manager.
- Work schedule flexibility required
What you have:
- Minimum of AAS degree required (mechanical, engineering or facility fields preferred)
- Above average PC skills to include MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MP2 or inventory systems.
- 3+ years of applicable, hands-on experience in production planning/inventory control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledgeable with electrical, mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems and parts terminology and general use/ application.
- Ability to develop metrics for tracking parts usage and costs.
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers and vendors.
- Independent initiative (self-starter) and must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
