Automotive A/B-Level Technician
About:
Our client company is seeking qualified A and B-Level Technicians to join their team. Come join a reputable independent automotive shop, with nearly 50 years of experience in the industry! Our client company is a family-owned and operated business dedicated to providing exceptional service. We are seeking motivated, customer-oriented, and energetic A and B-Level Technicians to become part of our dynamic team.
As an A/B-Level Automotive Technician, your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Conducting multi-point inspections and diagnosing vehicle malfunctions.
- Efficiently repairing automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning, in accordance with industry standards.
- Explaining mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and customers in a clear, non-technical manner.
- Providing accurate estimates of time needed for repairs.
- Test-driving vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality work.
- Utilizing diagnostic tools and special service equipment to test components and systems.
- Participating in training sessions to learn new technical information and techniques.
- Adhering to company regulations and staying updated on recalls and industry developments.
- Reporting any damaged or defective equipment to management.
- Ensuring a clean working area and reporting safety issues to management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive preventative maintenance.
- Formal automotive training is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- ASE Certification is a plus, but not required.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and stay motivated.
- Diligent and responsible, demonstrating dependability and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting information to identify problems and make decisions.
- Commitment to learning new technologies in the rapidly evolving automotive industry.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and guidelines.
- Commitment to established safety policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record
- Must possess your own tools/toolbox.
- Availability to work Saturdays.
