Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the service department, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and efficient workflow.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff to achieve performance targets and provide exceptional service.
- Monitor service department performance, including productivity, profitability, and customer service metrics, and implement improvements as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring repeat business and loyalty to the dealership.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize service department efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty policies, and safety regulations.
- Manage parts inventory and work closely with the parts department to ensure the timely availability of necessary components.
- Monitor service department financials, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an automotive service manager or similar role in a dealership environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive service and repair processes, including diagnostics, maintenance, and warranty work.
- Proficiency in using dealership management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
