Automotive Service Advisor - Gpac

We are partnered with a locally owned and operated automotive repair company who is actively looking to grow their already established team with an Automotive Service Advisor. This company prides themselves on their reputation and their commitment to delivering the highest quality service to their customers.

Service Advisor duties and responsibilities

• Estimating the cost and time needed for a wide range of repairs

• Welcoming customers and discussing their needs

• Answering customer inquires, either in person or on the phone

• Develop repair estimates by taking the cost of materials, supplies, and labor into consideration

• Prepare repair orders by detailing the vehicle’s problems or symptoms

• Connecting customers to the right auto technician

• Test-driving vehicles to confirm the customers’ vehicle is repaired as needed

• Maintaining automotive records by keeping track of problems and corrective actions

Service Advisor skills and qualifications

• At least 2 years in automotive industry

• Strong customer service skills to handle customer complaints and questions effectively

• Critical thinking, organization, time management and problem-solving skills to perform their job successfully

• Knowledge of digital technology including the ability to use the internet and the appropriate software

• Ability to interpret technical terms to the customers

• Patience to cope with different customers’ personalities

• Decision-making skills

• Proficiency with industry-specific software

• Analytical thinking
