Job Description
We are looking for an Experienced Automotive Sales Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of auto sales experience with excellent references and has not bounced from job to job. Candidates must have strong business acumen and sales aptitude and a willingness to accept full accountability for sales targets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong leadership and motivational skills are essential. We offer an excellent compensation plan commensurate with experience, and you will have a great opportunity to grow along with a thriving auto group. Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and license/motor vehicle record check. Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Develops viable sales forecasts and associated sales strategies
- Establishes sales quotas and manages overall sales goals
- Trains, manages, and directs the sales team so that they can meet goals and quotas
- Ensures all sales targets are met or exceeded
- Manages inventory in terms of display, pricing, and aging
- Provides timely and accurate reports on all sales activities as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a dealership with a consistent and verifiable track record in the automotive industry with minimal job changes and impeccable references
- A self-starter with the appropriate skill set and a great work ethic and attitude
- Fluent in Reynolds, ADP, and/or Dealertrack as well as other software applications relating to an automotive dealership
- Fluent in CRM tools
- Strong skills with Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word
- Strong interpersonal skills to be used in face-to-face meetings and training sessions
- Must possess strong people skills in order to train, manage, and direct the sales team so they can meet goals and quotas
- Must be able to combine customer service skills with a strong close
- Must know how to control the deal
- Must have a good grasp of Internet processes and understand how to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising
- Must be able to pass a drug test, license, and motor vehicle record check, and background check
