Be a part of something new and big! One of Long Island's Top Automotive Groups is hiring Auto Sales Consultants immediately! This position provides a guaranteed base salary with easy-to-achieve bonuses.
The Basics -
This position answers incoming phone calls and test-driving vehicles with our customers. We are well known for being one of the highest producers in the USA and having many long-term employees. This is a place you can call home. Essential Duties -
Communicate effectively with our customers via phone, internet, or text. Check email frequently and respond to customer inquiries immediately. Learn and follow our process. Set appointments for our customers to meet our employees and test drive vehicles. Study, learn, and maintain knowledge of the vehicles we sell (We will train you!). Learn and thoroughly understand dealership policies, products, and procedures. Learn and constantly understand manufacturer incentives and programs. Test Drive vehicles in our inventory with our customers. Work with Sales Managers and Customers throughout the car buying and negotiation process. Establish personal goals that are consistent with the productivity requirements of the dealership. Maintain a professional appearance.
Qualifications -
- Language Skills Ability: Read, write, and understand short correspondence with our Management and employees. Read and interpret safety rules, guidelines, and general business operating instructions as outlined by the dealership. Read, type and understand proper grammar in written/typed communication.
- Mathematical Skills Ability: Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide so that you can understand, interpret, and communicate Vehicle Pricing and Manufacturer Incentive Programs. Calculate discounts, figures, and required pricing as outlined by the manufacturers.
- Reasoning Ability: Apply a common sense understanding of carrying out instructions furnished verbally, in writing, or via electronic communication. Solve practical problems and come up with solutions to the simple challenges that occur in life. You must have and maintain a great attitude to be successful in this position.
Compensation -
This position offers a guaranteed salary while you train and bonuses based on work completed. Our salespeople can earn between $65,000 and $124,000 in their first year. We pay you while you learn and focus on helping you maximize your earning potential.
Certifications -
Must have and maintain a NY State Driver’s License in good standing. You will have to pass and then maintain Manufacturer Certification. (We will help you achieve this).
We are seeking sales professionals with proven track records to join our highly successful sales teams. There are also opportunities to become our future General Managers, Sales Managers, and Finance Managers!

Responsibilities
- Helps customers with vehicle selection and promotes model options and features, value-add products and services, and purchase and finance options following dealership policies
- Conducts vehicle test drives and ensures all speed limits and all other rules of the road are followed
- Negotiates sale closure in a clear, concise, and highly ethical fashion
- Helps facilitate delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle and features operation, warranty, and servicing requirements
- Maintains accurate sales documentation
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories, financing options, and promotions
- Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required
- Helps educate/train new staff members
- Performs other duties as assigned

Schedule 5 Day Workweek (40 hours) Incl Weekends
Schedule 5 Day (40 Hour) Workweek. Must be able to work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend.
