About the Job
Technical Professionals Group is now hiring a motivated, dependable, and safe Parts Specialist to support both our warehouse and testing needs. While supporting the warehouse role, the identified candidate will need to have extensive material handling experience operating a forklift, hi-lo, strong computer skills, shipping and receiving, inventory, heavy duty/medium duty truck components identification experience, and brand Parts Catalog experience
The Parts Inventory Specialist is expected to proficiently carry out the following duties:
- Assist Service Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs on Heavy Duty/Light Duty/IC bus platforms Maintain inventory and control of parts to keep trucks running
- Determine availability of parts that are not in stock, submit an emergency Purchase Order
- Receive and unload pallets and products
- Move items around warehouse
- Track and document inventory and perform cycle counts
- Tag and label merchandise
- Operate appropriate warehouse machinery (for example, forklift)
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic Mathematical and Reading/Comprehension skills
- Solid work history that demonstrates reliability
- Relevant work experience in warehouse, inventory control, shipping/ receiving, and brand parts catalog experience
- Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases with the ability to operate Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/Teams
- Good communication skills with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Freight handling experience (plus)
- Previous shipping/receiving experience (plus)
- Forklift certification (plus)
Education/ Qualifications/ Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- International brand Parts Catalog experience
- Heavy duty/medium duty truck components identification
- Inventory control
- Shipping/Receiving
- Forklift certification
- Computer proficient in Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint
- Time management skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to work

- Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug-free and pass drug screening prior to employment
- Standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving items of up to 50 lbs. and more
- Able to stand/walk for 8-hour shifts and able to lift to 50 lbs., regularly
- Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
- The warehouse/shop environment may be dusty, noisy, and open to interior temperature changes (cold/hot weather)
