Automotive Parts Counter-person Job Description:
Our Parts Department team plays a very important role in our dealership by ensuring the efficiency and productivity of our service and repair operations. Enforcing sales and marketing skills to increase revenue by selling parts to our customers.
Automotive Parts Counter-person Duties and Responsibilities :
- Taking inventory of stock in storage and if necessary on shelves
- Facilitating customer needs and requests in a way that is informative, productive and efficient
- Assisting customers, automotive technicians, and sales associates with queries and providing solutions quickly
- Maintain customer goodwill by greeting, and acknowledge all customers he/she comes in contact with
- Record all sales/and or customer transactions that occur
- Possessing excellent product knowledge to inform and increase sales
- Perform other tasks required by management
- Verification of receiving documents
- Ability to answer the phone effectively, return customer voicemails in a timely manner
Automotive Parts Counter-person Qualifications:
- Ability to speak effectively one on one
- Ability to effectively listen
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to interpret customer needs
- Good organizational skills
- Experience in the industry preferred but not required
- Able to work in a loud environment
- Calculate customers' total purchases and accept payment
- Great customer service phone skills
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test
