Position Overview
The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in supporting the outside sales team by delivering exceptional service to customers. This dynamic position involves handling customer inquiries, processing orders, managing complaints, and assisting with billing, credits, and quotes. The CSR consults with customers over the phone or in person, providing tailored product recommendations and solutions based on their unique needs. Primary Responsibilities
- Support outside sales by handling customer complaints, credits, billing, ordering, and UPC requests.
- Provide accurate product information, assist with availability inquiries, and refer customers to the appropriate sales representative.
- Organize daily tasks and routes for optimal efficiency in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring satisfaction and keeping detailed records of inquiries and actions taken.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by stocking, counting, and tracking stock items using bar code readers or computer systems.
Qualifications
Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in a customer service support role, with a strong understanding of warehouse, supply chain, and distribution processes. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference given to those with vocational training in Sales and Distribution or an Associate degree. The role requires excellent communication skills, with continuous speaking and hearing, as well as clear vision for daily computer tasks. Mental focus and attention to detail are essential for ensuring accuracy and effective problem-solving. The position involves both indoor and outdoor work in an industrial setting, with occasional travel (up to 5%).
