What the job is:
CPI is looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, likes to work with their hands and enjoys working on vehicles. CPI is a safety minded company thus such policies must be followed. The Automotive Mechanic will perform extensive vehicle maintenance and repair, diagnosing issues, vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance on all types of motorized vehicles and equipment as well as tire services and other general maintenance. The Automotive Mechanic will inspect machines, engines, transmissions and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues. This person will be responsible for the inventory and upkeep of company tools as well as preparing and maintaining records and reports while assisting in monthly and year-end inventories. A solid understanding of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and/or maintenance is essential for this role.

- High School Diploma or GED or related experience and/or training.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification and filing/handling of propane cylinders when applicable.
- Ability to understand methods, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.
- Must be able to successfully complete the Safety Operations Equipment Checklist.
- Must have the physical strength, balance and stamina necessary to complete the jobs in various areas
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions, be able to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds at a time and work around moving parts, fumes, airborne particles and chemicals much of the time.
