Vehicle Maintenance Technician
Fleet Maintenance
Our vehicle maintenance technician is responsible for keeping our fleet of 193 units in a healthy road ready condition at all times while ensuring the integrity and safety of all vehicles and equipment being serviced.
Our fleet consists of:
Light duty trucks ½ ton ¾ ton and 1 ton pickups and bumper pull trailers with brakes up to 25 feet in length,
Medium duty trucks 1 ton to 5 ton vehicles and gooseneck trailers with brakes up to 35ft in length
Heavy duty trucks (Class A & B semi’s) and 53 foot flatbed and step deck / drop deck Hydraulic trailers.
Majority of all repairs will be done in house; All repairs must follow all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards including preventative maintenance (services and inspection) maintaining overall health and wellness of the fleet including:
Oil changes and services, Fuel filter changes, coolant flushes, transmission flushes and filter, power steering fluid flushes, air filters, brake fluid flushes, differential services, tires (mount and balance, rotations repairs and tube installations) brake systems, (brake pad and shoe replacement and inspections) brake rotor and drum inspection and replacement, foundation air brake systems (operation and repair knowledge with air compressors, air lines, air dryers, relay valves, Gladhands, and their respective operation) suspension and steering components inspection and repair (wheel bearings, hubs, seals axles, driveline components), air suspension systems, DEF systems repair and Regen, fuel systems and tank replacement, decals installation and removal, painting (very minor), electrical systems diagnostic and repair (lights, marker lights and all standard operable electrical and lighting systems on a vehicle or semi), vehicle and trailer hydraulic systems medium and heavy duty (Semi WET Kit) and their operation, internal engine diagnostics and repair (front covers, valve covers, EGR systems, manifolds and turbocharger replacement, waterpumps/cooling systems, ignition systems, injection pumps, injectors & glow plugs, belt systems), air conditioning systems diagnostics and repair (expansion valves, condensers, receiver/dryer ect.) and more.
Our Fleet Technician will also have requirements of welding and fabrication with customizations; this will include any and all welding necessary with all fleet repairs as well as truck bed conversion where a pickup bed will be removed and a flatbed will be fitted and welded to be installed in place of factory bed on factory bed mounts and wiring.
We are looking for an eager minded self starter to fill this position; this position will have the employee working closely with management during certain levels of repairs being performed, the technician will follow our typical documentation by completing work orders describing job performed as well as being responsible for monitoring their own time (clocking in and out of jobs). The technician will be responsible for looking up their own parts for repairs, resources we have available though Factory Motor Parts, Ford, GM, Dodge, International, Kenworth, Napa and other locally and nationally operated facilities.

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
