We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented and results-driven Automotive Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team. As an Automotive Controller, you will be playing a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all financial aspects of our automotive business. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a high level of financial acumen, a strong understanding of business trends, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement financial strategies for the company, including budgeting and forecasting.
2. Oversee cash management operations, ensuring adequate liquidity for working capital needs and investing idle funds wisely.
3. Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
5. Manage relationships with financial service providers, including banks and audit firms.
6. Evaluate and manage financial risks, establish and maintain a system of internal controls.
7. Coordinate with other departments to gather information for financial reporting and decision making.
8. Continually review all accounting processes and procedures for improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be considered an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of cash management, financial reporting, and financial modelling.
4. Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and MS Excel.
5. Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
6. Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial managers.
8. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
9. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
