What’s a typical day as a Buyer? You’ll be:
• Thoroughly understanding and accurately maintaining process-related systems for suppliers and parts assigned to the buyer
• Establishing and maintaining communication networks with the supply base to promote positive relationships focused on delivery performance
• Identifying, evaluating, and escalating critical issues to management to ensure appropriate allocation of resources in a timely manner
• Continually developing communication networks, both external and internal, to ensure operational success and department awareness
• Collaborating with department project leaders to support all specified Mass Production department projects and meet Key Performance Indicators targets
• Understanding and managing New Model and Mass Production design change activity through close collaboration with impacted suppliers
• Maintaining reporting and Gemba activity for root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation to solve complex problems
• Striving for continuous improvement through cycling Plan Do Check Action for the area of responsibility
• Developing the capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences
• Supporting company vision and Business Plan activity by leading/supporting in Marutoku theme activity and/or project initiatives within the associate's core job function
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent related experience
• Have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a related field if no degree
• Have knowledge of basic inventory management and manufacturing workflow
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Have strong organizational skills
• Have the ability to prioritize tasks and work with limited direction
• Have the ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a team-based work environment
• Consistently identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Can collect data and apply business knowledge to solve a range of problems
• Can effectively lead project themes
• Can effectively sell ideas, securing buy-in from individuals or teams
• Are proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
