Karl Chevrolet is a well-established third generation family business that has successfully navigated an ever changing business landscape since opening its doors in 1927. The dealership’s long standing reputation for outstanding customer service coupled with company leadership in supporting a wide range of community activities have been cornerstones of our success.
Today, Karl Chevrolet is seeking a Business Development Representative to build and help grow our new Business Development Center (BDC). Initially, the BDC’s focus will be on supporting our sales department by handling both internet leads and in-bound sales phone calls. The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have a genuine passion for customer service. Excellent organizational skills are a key to succeed in this position.
The successful candidate will be in position to assume the role of BDC Manager as we successfully grow and expand this effort to not only cover sales support but also service support through owner follow-up, appointment setting and post service follow-up.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor and track all incoming sales leads using DealerSocket, our CRM software
- Respond to each lead with personalized email communications
- Seek to connect by phone with each lead to verify needs and the goal to schedule an in-dealership appointment
- Ongoing follow-up with leads until they come in or buy elsewhere
- Work closely with dealership sales staff to ensure a smooth transition on all appointments
- Maintain a working knowledge of dealership inventory
- Share insights learned from lead data with Dealership Management on potential inventory needs to support unmet market demand
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports based on activity – collect and analyze metrics
- Work closely with Dealer and Digital Marketing Manager to monitor leads by source to determine where marketing is working best and were dollars might be saved for better results.
- Work with Dealer and Digital Marketing Manager to support Social Media engagement on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other potential sites.
- Support and contribute to the Sales Department’s effort to maintain a FIVE STAR online reputation by ensuring each client receives the personal attention they deserve.
- Participate in Dealership supported training, including:
- Chevrolet product training
- Sales Process training (just to be familiar with our overall process)
- DealerSocket software training
- Other appropriate outside training as it becomes available
