Responsibilities
- Supervising and guiding a team of automotive technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Performing advanced diagnostic tests and repairs on vehicles, serving as a mentor and resource for junior technicians.
- Providing technical guidance and training to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
- Collaborating closely with service advisors to ensure clear communication and understanding of customer vehicle concerns.
- Overseeing the scheduling of repairs and maintenance jobs to optimize shop productivity and meet customer expectations.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Resolving escalated customer issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in automotive technology
Qualifications
- Prior experience as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician demonstrating strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Valid driver's license & clean driving record
- Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet or exceed hourly goals
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
- Efficiently navigate a computer
