Automation Technician I - Inova Staffing

The Automation Technician I assists in troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment and assembly cells, performing preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role involves optimizing various automated production equipment, including FTO, WIP, and Blow Molding machinery.

Compensation and Schedule:

• $24.25-$25.75 (Based on skill level)
• 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 10:30pm - 6:30am

Essential Functions:

• Modify, repair, and maintain machines using mechanical and electrical skills.
• Install pumps, pipes, valves, conveyors, sensors, motors, and packaging equipment.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Participate in process improvement teams and train employees on equipment.
• Recommend changes to improve processes and equipment performance.
• Follow and suggest safety procedures; respond to emergencies involving hazardous waste.
• Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instruments.
• Troubleshoot machine faults to enhance productivity.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on automated equipment.

Education and Experience:

• Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Electrical Journey person Certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Machine Operator Level 2 preferred.
• Strong understanding of measurements, gauging, and mechanical systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 55 lbs. and perform troubleshooting inside machinery.
