Position Description:
Join Applied Medical as an Automation Maintenance Technician and be at the forefront of revolutionizing medical device manufacturing. As part of our Automation Maintenance Team, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of our production equipment. You will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to achieve maintenance and production goals while adhering to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production and automation equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve technical issues during maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, maintenance guidelines, and operational procedures to meet compliance and quality standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Support repairs and parts orders by communicating effectively with team leaders and reporting concerns promptly.
- Teamwork & Goal Setting: Foster a collaborative work environment by contributing to team objectives and helping to meet or exceed production and quality targets.
Performance Objectives:
Within your first 6 months, you will be responsible for learning about our company, contributing to various projects and leading project management initiatives.
Within your first 30 days:
- Learn about Applied Medical's mission and vision and take part in a variety of Applied Learning foundational courses.
- Discuss your goals and expectations with your team leader(s) and read and review all relevant team resources and materials.
- Immerse yourself in team meetings and discussions.
Within 60 days:
- Exhibit a strong technical understanding of the product line and projects.
- Support team meetings and agendas.
- Take on one or more projects that require low to moderate guidance.
Within 90 days to one year:
- Develop interpersonal connections and relationships with others to effectively accomplish project objectives and deliverables.
- Lead moderate to complex projects with minimal guidance or direction.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Applied Medical's Quality Management System (QMS) and effectively troubleshoot challenges or obstacles that may affect project timelines.
- Handle a variety of projects on your own.
- Working 3rd Shift, 9PM – 6AM.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with team members and document activities.
- Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination to perform precise and detailed tasks.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with one or more of the following fields is essential: Electronics, Electrical Systems, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical Systems
- Educational Background/Experience: A high school diploma, GED, or at least one year of experience in a similar position.
- One year of experience in maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Competitive compensation range: $25 - $30 / hour (California).
