Controls Field Service Engineer
Location: Remote (CST or EST preferred, US-based with extensive travel)
Pay: $80,000 to $100,000 (DOE)
Position Type: Full-time, Entry-Level

Client is a global leader in packaging automation solutions, with a rapidly growing presence worldwide. They specialize in designing and implementing customized packaging lines for various industries. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and commissioning of automated packaging systems. You will work closely with project managers and engineering teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
• Fluency in Spanish
• 80% Regional and limited international travel requirements
• Up to 3 months of paid training at headquarters in Spain, Valid Passport
• Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering or a related field preferred, but not required
• 1-5 years of experience in automation engineering
• Experience in PLC programming and Ladder Logic with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell or Beckhoff/TwinCAT
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel extensively, including international travel
Responsibilities:
• Travel extensively (80%) throughout the United States and occasionally to Spain for training and project support.
• Commission packaging lines, including installation, testing, and programming of automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PLC programming, robotics, and other automation components.
• Provide on-site technical support to customers and end-users.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize automation solutions.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Fanuc and Kuka robotics
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet, Profibus, etc.)
