*Job Summary:
The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems in an industrial environment. This position is responsible for design, programming and configuration of DCS systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software. They will provide technical support to customers, develop technical documents, and participate in project management and project coordination. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of automation strategies for industrial process control systems. They will be required to have a working knowledge of industrial control systems, and be able to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Needs to be comfortable with the night shift work.

As a shift automation engineer the following are expected to form the overall job description:
Work on Incident management, Service request management, Problem management and Change management areas.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, presentation and computer skills. Works in a team based environment and exchanges technical information with management, technical support personnel, and equipment vendors.
Execute IQ, OQ for Control Systems Development and Enhancements
Develop system validation documentation and ensure system validation compliance.
Manage and update system documentation including SOPs.
Create and manage application-specific knowledge management.
Programming of various Control Systems applications and HMIs
*Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software.
Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Develop technical documents, including design specification, user manuals, and operational procedures.
Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing control systems.
Participate in project management and project coordination.
Monitor and analyze system performance.
Ensure regulatory compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
Utilize best practices, standards and procedures related to automation systems.
Maintain and update knowledge of evolving automation technologies.
Qualifications:*
Education:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science or Bio-Process Engineering, or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years relevant automation life science manufacturing experience
