Overview:
As an Automation Engineer, you'll manage automation upgrades and installations, collaborating with OEMs to ensure machinery meets our clients specifications. This hands-on role involves project management, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and selecting the right automation solutions for different facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and develop innovative automation concepts tailored to injection molding, assembly, and packaging requirements.
- Manage automation projects from start to finish, including procurement, design, build, acceptance, installation, and validation.
- Implement low and high-volume Assembly Automation Systems across various platforms, such as Synchronous, Asynchronous, and Continuous Motion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customers, Equipment Suppliers, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
- Participate in validation activities during DQ, FAT, IQ, OQ, SAT, and PQ phases, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- Establish, manage, and maintain project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Contribute to DFMA's, FMEA's, and DOE's, fostering continuous improvement and lean practices.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the operation and maintenance of newly installed equipment.
- Provide comprehensive training to Manufacturing personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of new equipment.
- Offer ongoing support to production teams during the ramp-up phase, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Comply with all company policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automation, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in managing automation projects or automation equipment design and build.
- Proficient knowledge of machine design and CAD software.
- Comprehensive understanding of modern machine controls.
- Experience with technologies such as Ultrasonic welding, leak testing, and machine vision (preferred).
- Familiarity with pneumatics, cam-operated systems, servo motors, and robotics (preferred).
- Experience in assembly, testing, and packaging of medical and pharmaceutical devices (preferred).
