The Data Engineer – Automation will develop new components using tools (PowerShell, Python, SQL Server, Altova, Informatica) that help build Automate various processes that exists within the data pipelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Experience in building end to end fully automated solutions for data pipeline with traceability and monitoring.
- Expertise in development of relational database management objects - tables, schemas, indexes, materialized views, partitions, stored procedures, functions etc.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems, assimilate information rapidly, and work under time constraints
- Strong SQL capability for identifying and resolving data related issues
- Responsible for gathering and assessing business information needs and preparing requirements, driving requirements through to implementation
- Ability to lead and drive projects with less supervision.
- Knowledge of healthcare claims, eligibility data and ANSI X12 data structures.
- Ensure Data Quality and Data Integrity is maintained with standardized re-usable components.
- Manage and drive multiple projects to completion in all phases within company-specified deadlines
- Ability to Interface with clients and vendors as needed.
- Perform analysis to identify data anomalies and implement adequate and efficient solutions
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience working with databases and Data integration tools. Informatica and SQL experience a plus
- In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of the various segments of healthcare EDI files like 834, 835 and 837
- Ability to review the current process and design automated solutions either full or partial depending on the use case.
- Experience in scripting tools like PowerShell and Python is required. Exposure in building RPA solutions using Opensource RPA tools like Open RPA is preferred.
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Possess strong project management, organizational, and customer service skills
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Sitting at a workstation for prolonged periods of time. Extensive computer work. The workstation may be exposed to overhead fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Fast-paced work environment. Operates office equipment including personal computers, copiers, and fax machines.
