Position Overview

A confidential client is seeking an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of control systems for industrial automation projects. This role requires an expert in process control and industrial automation, with adherence to IEC61511 and ISA 84 SIS standards. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Rockwell Automation PLCs and distributed control systems, have a solid foundation in control system architecture, and be comfortable working in a collaborative, plant-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead and support automation projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and timely completion.
• System Design & Implementation: Develop control system architectures, project plans, and estimates, and oversee installation and startup.
• Mentorship & Support: Guide junior engineers and technicians, provide technical training, and troubleshoot software, I/O, and network issues.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to ensure project goals align with their expectations and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years in process control with systems such as Emerson Ovation, ABB Infi90, Siemens PCS7, and/or DeltaV DCS/SIS.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Rockwell Automation PLC programming, Foundation Fieldbus, TCP/IP networking, IEC 61131, ISA S88 programming standards, and virtual machine deployment.
• Preferred: PE registration is highly preferred, along with knowledge of Modbus protocols, Ethernet/LAN/WAN systems, and network security.
