About the Job
Overview:
- As an AOI Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining programs for Automated Optical Inspection systems used in the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of AOI equipment in identifying defects and ensuring the quality of electronic components.
1. Programming:
- Develop and optimize AOI programs for electronic inspection systems based on project specifications and requirements.
- Write and debug code to create efficient algorithms for defect detection and classification.
2. Machine Calibration:
- Calibrate and fine-tune AOI machines to achieve optimal performance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of AOI systems into the production process.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with quality control teams to understand and address issues related to defect detection and classification.
- Implement improvements to enhance the overall quality inspection process.
4. Data Analysis:
- Analyze inspection data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the AOI systems.
5. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and production staff, to implement and troubleshoot AOI solutions.
- Conduct training sessions for operators on the proper use and maintenance of AOI equipment.
6. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of AOI programs, configurations, and calibration settings.
- Create user manuals and guidelines for operators and technicians.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of advancements in AOI technology and industry best practices.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance the capabilities of AOI systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in AOI programming or related fields.
- Proficient in programming languages commonly used in AOI systems, such as C++ or Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with specific AOI software and hardware platforms.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electronics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of image processing and computer vision techniques.
