Job Description
Responsible for managing capital and expense projects from inception through design, bidding, implementation/construction, and closeout. Also responsible for directly managing project(s) delivery, as well as monitor projects' cost and schedule to meet or exceed the expectations of the client. Project delivery may be through the use of in-house skilled trade resources, sub-contractors, or a combination of the two.
Will work with AutoCAD to update drawings, clean up the database and other projects, etc.
Job Responsibilities
- May be scheduled to supervise skilled trades in the delivery of daily maintenance and repairs tasking
- Review reporting and operation audits and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, productivity (call frequencies, call-backs), process improvements, energy savings, cost reductions and similar "best practice" initiatives.
- Direct/attend meetings as required to understand project scope, reach mutual agreements with on-site labor, and ensure efficient delivery of project scope holding labor/sub-contractors accountable for timely/cost effective/quality delivery of services.
- Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
- Act as liaison with contracted architectural/engineering companies as needed to ensure plan is being adhered to and needs met.
- Supervise selection of planners, architects, contractors and other professionals.
- Provide direction to consultants engaged in campus planning.
- Ensure all work is consistent with master plans, sector plans, programs, budgets and campus standards.
- Integrate with the facilities teams to ensure effective project delivery, turnover and closeout. Support daily operations by ensuring service levels are maintained campus wide and provide proactive identification of work
- Maintain archival system including cataloging, scanning of documents into electronic format. Coordinate with CAFM teams to assist with space allocation programs
- Assist the leadership team of an institution as needed to prepare materials and conduct professional architectural presentations for various senior level meetings and board presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related curriculum.
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of relevant technical experience as Facility Manager, Project Engineer, Planner/Scheduler Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role
- Knowledge of integrated facility operations, automated technologies and systems maintenance in engineering/research environment, with significant responsibility for customer relations.
- Experience and proficiency with project management and scheduling solutions in large scale, technical operations and all aspects of planning, staffing, scheduling and cost estimating.
- Administrative experience related to project management, including safety cost tracking, progress monitoring, reporting and corrective action planning.
