AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN - Motocruit

Our Client is seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have sustained non-structural damage such as dents, scratches, and minor body damage. The ideal candidate should have experience in repairing and replacing damaged body panels and using specialized tools and equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough assessments of non-structural damage on vehicles to determine the scope of repairs needed.
  
• Repairing and replacing damaged body panels with new or used parts, depending on the customer's preference and budget.
  
• Sanding, filling, welding, and smoothing vehicle surfaces to prepare them for painting.
  
• Utilizing specialized tools and equipment to repair dents, scratches, and other non-structural damage.
  
• Communicating effectively with team members and to ensure clear understanding of repair needs and timelines.
  
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto body repair, with an emphasis on non-structural repairs.
  
• Knowledge of painting techniques and use of specialized tools and equipment.
  
• Ability to mix and match paint to achieve an exact color match.
  
• Experience in repairing dents, scratches, and other non-structural damage.
  
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders and technical manuals.
  
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
  
• Relevant certification(s) such as ASE Non-Structural Technician or I-CAR Gold Class certification is preferred.
  

 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
