Job Description:
This program offers a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in the automotive industry,
working alongside an experienced technician and gaining insight into various aspects of auto body repair. This will be a 30 day trial to qualify for the 18-month Technician Development Program.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Assist in performing basic auto body repairs, including dent removal, sanding, and painting under the supervision of
- experienced technicians.
- Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment properly to ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace.
- Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects within specified timelines and quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Education and/or Experience Required
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred
- Some on-the-job experience is preferred
- I-CAR Gold Class preferred
Required Skills and Abilities
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in the repair of a vehicle
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle parts.
- Strong interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop technical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of auto body repair techniques and tools is preferred but not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning and problem-solving
- Reliable transportation to commute to the workplace

- Participate in training programs as required to maintain the technical and professional skills and techniques necessary for
- this position.
- Extend normal working hours as necessary to accommodate workload and customer requirements.
Requirements to Qualify for Entry into TDP
- Mentor agrees to accept trainee
- Zero unplanned absences
- Zero Tardiness violations
- Has worked with selected mentor for 90% or more of the 30-day time frame
- Trainee passes final Pre-TDP assessment
- Mentor signs training agreement
