A multinational investment bank and financial services holding company (one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, Fortune Magazine) seeks an Audit Supervisor to support their Global Corporate and Investment Bank audit efforts.
The hired person will perform test work as part of highly complex audit activities, along with the Global Corporate and Investment Banking audit team based in EMEA and APAC.
Responsibilities include:
- Independently design and execute audit tests and possibly lead small audits.
- Execute audit strategy for the sound application of risk-based auditing.
- Define audit scope and audit programs, and leverage automation and innovative methods.
- Exercise knowledge of product, business, and technical expertise to challenge management to improve the control environment.
- Assess issues for business impact and recommend severity ratings.
- Provide input on draft audit reports and share audit results with business leaders
- Support multiple projects using technology and analytic techniques to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Establish business partner relationships.
- Cover audits for equity capital markets, debt capital markets, investment banking, corporate banking coverage and leasing.
- Team is also responsible for credit risk management and global payment services audits in EMEA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; prefer Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or relevant qualifications
- 5-7+ years of internal audit or front office business control or compliance or risk management experience of corporate and investment banking business (equity capital markets, debt capital markets, investment banking, corporate banking, leasing) at a large global bank.
- Experience with risk and control identification and assessment.
- Experience with stakeholder management.
- Experience with coaching less experienced team members.
Compensation commensurate with experience, base target $100-140K, bonus eligible. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (citizen or permanent resident).
