Audit Senior - SEC Reporting - Tandym

A professional services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Auditor to join their staff as their new Audit Senior.

Responsibilities:

The Audit Senior will be responsible for:

• Executing daily activities of audit engagements for SEC registrants and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audits
• Managing client engagements from inception to completion, which involves planning, executing, directing, and finalizing audit projects within budget constraints
• Maintaining technical knowledge necessary to oversee staff on audits, compilations, reviews, and tax-related tasks
• Supervising, training, and mentoring associates and interns on tax projects
• Evaluating staff performance for engagement reviews, and assuming the in-charge role as required
• Inspecting financial and accounting records, other documents, and tangible items
• Preparing and organizing working papers
• Composing reports that are both concise and precise
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of progressive Audit experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Experience with SEC reporting clients
• Microsoft Excel proficient
• Solid analytical and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• SEC experience in the Manufacturing/Distribution sector
