Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our team remotely in Chicago. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality services to our clients. This position involves working closely with clients to assess risks, prepare financial statements, and lead audit teams while fostering strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute audit engagements from planning to completion.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit strategies.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff during the audit process.
- Review work papers and ensure compliance with professional standards.
- Prepare management letters and communicate findings to clients.
- Assist in tax compliance and advisory services.
- Engage in business development activities to expand client base.
- Conduct research on accounting and auditing issues as needed.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through excellent service.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on audit.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards.
- Experience in tax preparation and compliance is a plus.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and audit tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
