We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Tax Manager to join our Tax Department. The Investment Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the tax aspects of our investment portfolios. This position requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, investment products, and the ability to develop strategies that minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.

Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Tax Manager to join our Tax Department. The Investment Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the tax aspects of our investment portfolios. This position requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, investment products, and the ability to develop strategies that minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement tax-efficient investment strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance after-tax returns for
clients.
- Compliance: Ensure all investment activities comply with relevant tax laws and regulations. Prepare and review tax returns and filings related to
investment portfolios.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide detailed tax analysis and reporting for investment portfolios. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess
their impact on investment strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers, financial advisors, and other internal stakeholders to provide tax guidance and support for
investment decisions.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks associated with investment activities. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to tax
policies and procedures.
- Client Support: Serve as a tax advisor for high-net-worth clients, providing insights and recommendations to optimize their investment tax strategies.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train junior tax professionals within the department. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to
maintain a high level of expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification required. Master’s degree in Taxation or related field
preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in investment tax management, preferably within a financial services or investment management firm.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations as they relate to investments. Proficiency in tax preparation software and
financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations and apply them to investment
strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
