Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Audit Senior role will have
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
Extensive experience in auditing, particularly within the realm of alternative investments
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify financial discrepancies and anomalies
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff
Proficiency in using financial software and databases
A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work
A proactive approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines
A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for leading audits and investigations into our financial operations
This role is crucial in ensuring our financial accountability and integrity
Lead and execute audits across various departments, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards
Review financial statements, records, reports, operations and documentation to ascertain the reliability and integrity of financial management controls
Identify areas of financial risk within the organization and propose solutions to mitigate these risks
Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and make recommendations to improve policies and procedures
Work closely with other members of the finance team to understand and assess the financial implications of business decisions
Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation that may affect the organization's operations
Collaborate with external auditors, providing them with the necessary support and information for their annual audit
