We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Manager for our Public Accounting team in the Accounting + Finance industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team, where you will play a critical role in our organization. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audit clients, overseeing the entire audit process, and ensuring that our work complies with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
As a Audit Manager - Public Accounting, your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and managing multiple audit engagements to deliver quality audit services.
2. Overseeing the entire audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up.
3. Providing technical expertise in financial reporting and GAAP compliance.
4. Reviewing audit work papers and financial statements for compliance with professional and firm standards.
5. Communicating with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively.
6. Supervising, training, and mentoring audit staff and interns on audit process.
7. Developing new business with existing clients and potential targets.
8. Researching and analyzing financial statements and audit issues utilizing a variety of resources.
9. Evaluating internal controls and work programs prepared by staff.
10. Monitoring progress of engagements in relation to budgets and deadlines.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Audit Manager - Public Accounting position, the candidate must have:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audits.
3. CPA certification.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
5. Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead a team.
6. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop client relationships.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
8. Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software.
10. Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
