Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team and oversee the audit department's operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting financial statements, Uniform Guidance audits, and conducting audits for clients in the Non-Profit Industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage auditing staff and ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Create audit plans and schedules and ensure that deadlines are met
- Perform risk assessments and identify potential areas of concern
- Review and analyze financial statements, audit reports, and other relevant documentation to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and operational efficiencies
- Prepare Form 990 for clients in the Non-Profit sector
- Maintain relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with changes in auditing standards and regulations
- CPA Certification is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Auditing, preferably in Public Accounting
- Expertise in ProSystem Engagement, ProSystem fx Tax, and PPC Smart Tools
- Proficient in Quickbooks, Excel, and MS Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong strategic planning skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with NFP (Not-for-profit) audits and Form 990 filings is preferred
