As a Permanent Assurance Manager in the Finance industry, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, guiding us toward financial stability and growth by ensuring assurance and compliance in all our financial operations. This role demands a seasoned professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and who is not afraid to make critical decisions. You will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, leading diverse teams, and building strong client relationships. Your strategic mindset, business acumen, and excellent leadership skills will be key to our success.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the assurance department, ensuring all financial operations comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
2. Lead and motivate diverse teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
3. Manage multiple engagements, ensuring timely completion and delivery.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent service and addressing any concerns promptly.
5. Resolve complex accounting issues, using your extensive experience and knowledge.
6. Contribute to business development and marketing efforts, promoting our services and expanding our client base.
7. Ensure engagement profitability, managing billings and collections effectively.
8. Regularly assess and test financial reporting control systems, implementing improvements as necessary.
9. Stay updated on changes to GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant regulations, ensuring our practices remain compliant.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in public accounting.
2. Previous supervisory experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading and motivating diverse teams.
3. Extensive experience in external auditing.
4. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
5. Business acumen and a strategic mindset.
6. Proven ability to manage multiple engagements.
7. Ability to resolve complex accounting issues.
8. Experience in business development and marketing.
9. Proven ability to manage engagement profitability, including billings and collections.
10. Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant regulations.
11. Experience in testing and assessing various financial reporting control systems.
12. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is required.
