Our firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that will play a critical role in managing and conducting audits for our clients in the construction, real estate, healthcare, and medical sectors. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in these industries and a deep understanding of the unique financial and regulatory landscapes within them.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading and managing multiple audit engagements to deliver quality audit services for our clients in various industries.
2. Supervising, training, and mentoring audit staff and interns on audit processes, and assessing their performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
3. Developing and maintaining productive relationships with clients and management, identifying opportunities for new business.
4. Reviewing audit work papers and financial statements, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
5. Managing risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets.
6. Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve audit-related issues, and make recommendations for operational and process improvements.
7. Keeping up-to-date with current trends and developments in the industries we serve, applying relevant knowledge to audit engagements.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience in a public accounting firm, with a focus on construction, real estate, healthcare, or medical industries.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
4. Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
5. Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
6. Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
