Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Audio-Visual Project Manager to join our team. As the Audio-Visual Project Manager for commercial integration projects in the Los Angeles area, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial consultation to project completion. You will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners to ensure the successful execution of AV integration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Strategy:
- Conduct thorough project assessments and needs analysis with clients.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
- Define project objectives and deliverables.
- Create comprehensive project plans and strategies.
Client Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, addressing their concerns and requirements.
- Provide regular project updates and progress reports to clients.
Team Leadership:
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, including AV technicians, designers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure team members have the necessary resources and information to meet project goals.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Procure and coordinate equipment and materials required for project completion.
- Monitor project expenses and control costs effectively.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the installation and integration of AV systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct thorough quality control inspections and tests.
- Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., AV technology, project management).
- Proven experience managing commercial AV integration projects.
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and controls.
- Strong understanding of audio-visual systems, equipment, and technologies.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Lead projects of $50,000 each to 5 projects with a minimum of $250,000.
- Extron AV Associate Certification.
- Crestron Professional Installation Certification.
- Essentials of Crestron Programming.
- AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals.
- AMX Installer.
- Introduction to Project Management.
